When you think “healthcare innovation,” or medtech, what comes to mind first? Is it a new medical device, a smoother patient experience, or a shift with AI? Last week, Connecting Giants and Unicorns (CGU) teamed up with BioFlorida and pulled off the kind of healthcare event that left people excited about attending. Shaping the Future of Healthcare event brought together a diverse group of industry leaders in the biotech and life science space, including health tech founders, healthcare professionals, and decision makers for a night where engagement and ideas sprang forth.
As guests arrived, the atmosphere felt charged with momentum. Drinks were flowing, a buffet of appetizers and light bites set the tone and you could hear it everywhere: founders swapping ideas, innovators exchanging innovations, and plans to move things forward circulating like a sommelier swirling their glass. It was more than just networking, it was connection with intention.
Guests then continued into an adjoining room for the next segway which included the panel discussion. Sabina Shuminov and Michael Burtov introduced the panelists, and moderator Dr. Erik Ilyayev, Physician and CEO of MedBetterHealth, kept the flow of conversations on stage and in tune with expectations. As conversations took the stage the biggest takeaway for entrepreneurs and healthcare professionals was clear: healthcare is accelerating very quickly, and the builders who create solutions that can truly be adopted will be the winners. Perspectives were shared, innovation ideas circulated, and discussions continued post panel.
